Being an 'older' taper i have allways used readymix joint cement in auto taper and for finishing by hand but have now started to use promix lite for hand finishing and like it, have any of you used promix lite in auto taper and boxes...and what is your opinion on it ,,,cheers

I found it ok for boxing flat joints, but lacks body for use on beads. Material was easily damaged on sanding as really soft. I wouldn't use it again.

Promix lite for me every time. When using through bazooka and boxes then I thin it up slightly. Sands easily no complaints. I do however agree with TonyM - its not too good on externals-easifill's the stuff for that. I have tried the USG blue top and found it had a weird texture and an even weirder smell when sanding.

Whatever floats your boat I suppose, you've got to use the stuff you are happy with.

absolutely fine with flex, corner tapes etc.if you use metal beads then clearly a filler would go on first.it lays on beautifully with no drag.lovely finish.sands like a dream.awesome through boxes or by hand.i believe theres a vinyl additive so it will feel slightly different textured to other gear.minsters cardiff about 13 quid plus vat a tub.but you can get it in bags too.

I have only tried the ready mix and didn't know it came in bags. I might give the bags a try, you never know I might be a convert. btw you don't work for USG do you? :-)
