Has anyone used Gyproc Lite Coving?
I had to tape and cove an extension 2 or 3 years ago and the builder supplied the coving, he got 21m of this stuff - utter sh*te. Its a sort of plastic coving.
I just fired it up with fast set as usual
Oh dear.
I was back in yesterday as it was coming away from the wall. 30 seconds pulled the coving off and a further 2 hours was spent scraping the fast set from the gyproc wall/ ceiling.
20 for more coving and then I still had to fix it and re-paint it! :cussing:
If any of you guys are asked to hang this stuff then just say no!
I think it should have been silicone or no more nails I used but I never knew that at the time
An expensive mistake..........

Not seen it and don't want to either. Most lightweight stuff is utter crap.

the B&Q lightweight cove is brilliant. 3m & 3.6 m lengths. Elitest tradesmen steer clear of this until they use it. You can carry over 20 lengths a time, don't need nails to pin it, uses lots less cove adhesive you can put long lengths up easily and it looks the same when done. I can put more of this up than i can normal stuff. The thing is see Dai.. I fukkin loves this coving

you can buy gyproc plaster coving cheaper than the lite coving i went to a job and they had supplied the lite so i told them to buy plaster cove and they got a refund and a better finish.
