And where do you think is better ?and why?
I prefer on site because no one bothers you and you know what u have to do ,u see the boards and just taping and taping and again and again

Remember some site work can be for private customers as well, for instance, maybe property investors looking to develop one or two houses for themselves. These are my favourite jobs by a mile because you can have the place to yourself and work uninterrupted like you come to expect on a larger site, yet still make good prices.

Answering your question, both have good and bad points. I get miles more production done on site, but less pay. On private work, less production but better rates.

I accept some tradesmen are not good at socialising with their clients and hate being asked if they want a cup of tea 20 times a day, I honestly don't mind, but I don't like being watched over by the client or working around furniture/obstacles and other trades due to an injury I had a few years back.

At the moment, hardly anyone is able to pick and choose their work so you should be grateful for any that comes your way.

Got to agree, private every time. Less hassle being the obvious bonus, and more money
