Ek i have put plenty of that stuff up but with the flower paterns which is a total pain in the butt!
That 1 looks quite easy i just stick it up with BG fastset and put in some nails under it and a couple on the ceiling 2 hold it in place till the filler goes off!
I notice in ur pick that there is a vault in that ceiling:glare: Ur on ur own there if thats gettin cove 2!?:w00t:

Cheers beermonster for the advice, I will probably drive some screws thru it just to be sure!
The pics are of the hallway which i seem to have talked them out of cornicing, it would be a nightmare! Did you put the cornice up on yer own, beermonster? I have been advised by the contractor that I,d be better off getting someone to gimme a hand with it. (dont worry, i wont ask ya, I,ve got someone in place!)

Wet the back with a damp sponge before you apply the adhesive or the cornice will suck the moisture out of it and it will be a bugger to remove. I use Artex Quick Start to stick it because it is really really sticky. You could use tile adhesive but that tends to shrink a little and takes longer to set. I'd put 2 or 3 screws in each full length too.

The last time we did any cornice work we used to bond the back of the cornice with pva, fast set will be fine to stick or tile adhesive& you will need to put a few screws in because of the weight, once its set we used to fill tip& bottom edge with caulk.

Ok then, job done! What a nightmare, never again ! I hated every minute of it. Looks not bad though. I took your advice and soaked the back, and also put some screws thru it too. After the first 2 lengths we looked at it for ages then came to the conclusion that it was upside down !!! AAAAARGH!! Got it done though and I'm glad to be off it now although I'll be relieved when I get the cheque! Thanks for all your advice lads:fing02:
