you will need to get your cscs to get on any of the major house builders in Scotland as health and safety is major,

You can put Barratt on the 'rubbish' list too

Must be up north that Persimmon are rubbish, I am on my second Persimmon site basically going from the first to the current site as there is enough work to keep me going full time on one site (this Saturday will be first one not worked since starting back after xmas) never had a problem on either site, both site managers have been really easy to deal with and both sites have/are run smoothly.

up here it a different story, before we broke up for xmas i was taping the front porches on the Wednesday, the where people moving in on Friday, then after xmas the house i was going in to was fitted out with the facings, and skirtings and the plumbers where just starting to fit there rads, it was at this point i grabbed the tools and went.

I find Persimmon the best of a bad bunch up here. Cruden homes are by far the worst I've worked on, closely followed by Barratt. Strangely enough, David Wilson Homes- a subsidiary of a Barratt, aren't too bad.
Which Persimmon site was that SQ?

Must be just up there then! the current and previous Persimmon sites I'm on no-one, not even to load out for 2nd fix was allowed in the plot until it was sanded and mist coated. I have bin heaters at my disposal and plenty of gas, the labourer is in regularly checking if I need another bottle :)

its a site in Midlothian ek which comes under persimmon east scotland, the subbie that has that job also has one in Dumfries which is persimmon west scotland and he reckons its like night and day to the one i was on so maybe its just persimmon east scotland thats the problem.

I have been on a persimmon site since last July and on the whole it's been pretty decent, should be on it for the rest of this year as we'll 84 plots for this Xmas.
