Anyone came across these fcukers???

There's a bevel about 4 inches in from the tapered edge on one side. It's pretty hard to notice (until its painted!!!!) I did a house a few weeks ago where i noticed about 3 or 4 of them and informed the site agent, he said just to go ahead and he'd square me up for fixing it. It was only once the lights came on we've realised, every.fcuking.sheet. in the house is fcuked. Went to another site for the same builder this week and it's the same story. Every single board in the house is gubbed and just to add to it all this one's a showhouse. Spoke to the agent and he has told me just to tape it, then try to skim it out once it's mis-coated.

Knauf rep is apparently coming out tomorrow but no doubt he'll try to weasel out of it. There must be loads of these faulty boards going about as these 2 units were ordered about a month apart.

Hey Stuart, hope you don't come across them mate.

Rep came out today and spoke to the agent tried to say that it is within tolerance!!!! Fair play to the agent, he went off his heid.

Surely tolerance if fucked when a board isn't FLAT and every single board is flashing.

Knauf know about this has been a problem since last September. Had the rep out and all he was interested in was what gear we were using. He gave our guy pallets off there easy sand so we could 10" box each side of the joint.

Stewart Milne sites. The rep has backed down and offered to pay for it to get fixed, but has also offered a shed load of gear as an alternative. Don't know what the gaffers gonna do don't really care tbh as long as i get paid.

Anyway, he's said the problem's now been sorted at the factory, but it's ridiculous so many sheets made it through, obviously no quality control.

Looking forward to my weekend of skimming boards :banghead::banghead::banghead:

knauf is knaf always has been always will be. had these vertical groves on thier board for years on and off. its soft as badger shit so no wonder. nice shallow tapered edges though. rep wont give a fuck just give u some of his shit compound so u can make good. non of these companies employ quality control not for a good 15 years maybe more. we are just monkeys so expect to peel ur own bananas.

Never been impressed with the quality of Knauf boards. In critical light areas, they look awful.

Gaffer was out today, I asked what the rep said. He said same as he told Sav1876 that it was within tolerance , but a 14" box would cover it!!!!!!!!
I really despair at times..........:banghead:
