hello all, new to the board and fairly new to using auto tools so i thought id pick a few brains on here....
i recently picked up some speedtape flatboxes and they're perfectly good as a start up set but i was wondering if these goldblatt tools you see popping up on ebay are worth investing in? are they any good or would i just be throwing my money away?
in a perfect world id love to get a full northstar/columbia etc set but realisticly ive not got that kind of money floating about.

cheers, great site by the way:fing02:

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have no knowledge of the Goldblatt boxes. I use Columbia myself and they aren't exactly expensive.

You have a warm welcome from me as well mancman.

Adding a link so everyone knows what type of tools are being discussed. Goldblatt taping tools (http://www.goldblatttapingtools.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=66).
The mega flat boxes caught my eye and those prices are keen. Why don't you buy a used set of Northstar/Columbia?

PS. Found a reconditioned Tapetech Autotaper for 299 on ebay. (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Drywall-Tool-Tapetech-Autotaper-Used_W0QQitemZ320447768799QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_BO I_Industrial_Tools_Construction_Tools_ET?hash=item 4a9c2ce8df)

Speedtape pro tools are made by Goldblatt just in Blue !! although the mega boxes are still exclusive to the us market at the moment but sure they can be picked up on ebay for a nice price.

good starter set but most time served tapers go for the more advanced makes, our biggest sellers are:Columbia,Tapetech, Northstar. Best thing with all these tools they are 99% interchangable.

Give me a shout if you need any tools will sort you some discount and freebies!
