Guys, just heard that Northstar have gone out of business from various sources stateside. Anyone else heard the same?

I heard unconfirmed reports of a Canadian bankruptcy around two weeks ago but decided not to post anything until I knew for definite.

I read about it on Drywalltalk. Shame as their tools are the dogs gonads.

yes, northstar has gone into chapter 7, which means they aren't coming out of it any time soon, (i had the european distribution for them, so this is coming from the source) however I am pretty sure the original owners are going to snap it up cheap and get back in business, it is very unlikely the brand will go away. toolpro bought them for an amazing amount of money just before the crash, and the original owners didn't take kindly to an installment plan for payments. I do however still have a fair bit of stock.

seems that way, though i am sure its no the last we will see of them, ames just came out of bankruptcy with new owners, business as usual
