have no idea how to run a site properly!
they sit in their little office checking out the program schedule on the laptop, occasionaly wander around the site but rarely/never come in to the plot to see how far along they have progressed, plot 22 should be tape/jointed and sanded down ready for the painters to mist coat, but due to the fact plot 22 is 2 weeks behind schedule due to the groundworks it needs final coating. Now as the schedule says it should be ready for mist coat what happens?....a kitchen delivery turns up so instead of using the garages as a store they dump 4 kitchens in to plot 22! And the so called manager wonders why I roll my eyes at him and walk off when he asks me why it isn't finished!

Catch 22 at plot 22? Just make sure the kitchen gets well and truly caked in gear and next plots problems solved, or the units are covered in wrapper.

What about using that health and safety sheet for them to sign that was mentioned?

PS. Just found your recent post and will have a Word document for you guys to download in around 5 minutes.

Had exactly the same thing today, i started a unit late yesterday afternoon. Get to work this morning and the site manager is telling me the plot should be finished today! Even though the tacker didnt finsh yesterday intil 3.

So that would give me at best 2 hours on his program to tape and sand a coach house.

Some are rubbish.
But some are alright. One site agent I know gets all the in a meeting rips up the program throws it over his shoulder. And says " f**k there program". He then writes one up on the wall that we tell him when things will be ready or finished and we stick to that program. Funny I always earn more money on his sites and they always finish on time or early. Common sense.
