Anyone used it, any good?
Pricing for a job using Fermacell boards,
can the Fine Finish be used on normal boards?

You could skim the whole surface of standard boards with it if you wanted. It's fine enough to fill the relief of the paper. It is quite quartzy and goes rock hard. You will need to double your labour rate for fixing and jointing. The boards are over 40kg each so it's really a 2 man job to fix, esp if the studs are stuffed with insulation.

Cheers for that Tony.
Would you skim normal boards, ie Square Edge, with scrim?
fermacell boards are shit hot mate but as said you need 2 add 26% to the cost of labour compaired to gyproc . no need to tape any joints 2 coat over the joint and screw holes with fermecell joint filler then cover the hole board with fst out the tub fine cover the whole wall then go back to the start taking off the excess as you are troweling you will start to polish the surface looks and feels waxy under the trowel you can see the fst start to polish under the trowel . its a very good system quite labour intensive . ps don't try to put the joint filler over any fst the waxy polish will throw the joint filler in sheets.
fermacell tight lines nice finnish .]
