    Default Filling out joints

    hello

    Just wondering how you guys fill out joints i just do it by hand but have seen a few jointers just running over joints with a 10" box filled with filler after fiber taping it, have any of you tryed this? im tempted to try it but im just worryed that if i leave it that 5 minutes to late its going to go rock solid im my pump and box lol?

    Some people fill the box with setting compound manually instead of using a pump. Ive never even used easi fill through a pump, in case I get wee crusty bits coming through my 12" finish coat for weeks to come. Once saw a gooseneck pump and taping gun destroyed because someone tried what you just suggested so make sure youre near a high powered hose or compressor for cleaning out

    Guilty as charged, and have to say I only ever trowel on if its 3 rooms or less now. Its all in the pump (literally).

    I haven't tried it but know a few who have. It'll work if you have an apprentice for washing out and mixing up etc. Also, a taper I knew bought a large sink plunger (looks like a syringe) from b&q and uses that to fill his 10box!
