    Default Material price increase

I phoned my main supplier today to order a pallet of BG Quicksand and they tried to tell me that it's gone up from 18.90 to nearly 24 a bag. I'm not prepared to pay that. I can get BG cement for 15, so why should I pay so much more for another 2.5kg of material? Looks like i'm going to have to do some shopping around.

No price increase but I did have to pay a 26 delivery charge from my merchants recently.

This is Encon that I deal with. As for Minsters, because they are owned by Jewsons, I wouldn't buy anything from them.

i doubt id get it much cheaper like. as i live way up north of scotland on an island which is a bitch for postage nevermind ordering in bulk. just the local timber merchants and home improvement stores. cant win these days with petrol and diesel costs going sky high and its getn pumped onto the products.... same with it having to come via ferry & haulage company.

If you have a merchants very local and you are able to collect instead of having materials delivered, make them aware of this and get them to price with NO delivery, they always incorporate delivery into the price and with the high price of fuel the prices will keep going skyward.
