    okay so over the last few months a few of our joiners put an extension onto this community hall....... another contractor came in to tape the main halls ceiling 6 guys......... no sanding no snagging rougher than a hookers hole! filler and paint all over the wooden floors they didnt sheet it or anything just had 2 guys who looked like they were mopping the droppages up. never seen the likes in my life!WP_001104.jpgWP_001121.jpgWP_001122.jpgWP_001107.jpgWP_001120.jpg if i left a job like this id be down the jobcentre. how they got paid i dont know! alot more but i couldnt be botherd taking pics.

    Unfortunately any numpty who has 20 quid in their pocket only needs to visit B&Q for a few DIY tools to become a taper and the sad thing is the folks who thought they got a bargain with this job are probably none the wiser.

    it seems so amestaper. i couldnt really get any belter pics as white is verry forgiving and hard to picture but if you seen this in person youd cry! couldnt believe the mess they are getting away with leaving.

    You really need to come to aberdeen and see the stuart milne joiners work ,,,, My son of 14 can sheet better than them , You need to backfill all the joints before you tape them or the just shrink back and then your snagging for a week, I'll get some good pics next time im on site lol.

    Yea i used 2 do s milne sites!! They r far from good thats for sure,But most of the agents r ex joiners and let them of with everything!! Guy phoned me 1 day asking if i was needing him 2 send through the new prices and if i could manage a couple of houses for him at Sauchen(Think thats how its spelt) Then i would get the rest of the site,I politly said No thanks!!

    Just leave it. Since the prices went down, i've had a guts full of boarders moaning. Always want to leave a good job,but some lads are now leaving crap like that more and more.... taper will get over it, the first thing i was learnt....... that has now stopped.

    hi fotestbhoy,i refused to even attempt to tape it and sheeters were supposed to be back today to sort it but never showed.problem now is i have the rest of house fast setted then when im 10 boxing and angle taping the shits will come in and sort it and it throws the sequence to buggery.feel all i do now is moan like f--ck but what are you supposed to do.

    Tell the site agent your charging the sheeters for your out of sequence work, thats what we've started doing& it soon gets them back in a hurry

    This is a new build I was asked to tape and despite driving 50 miles to get there I should have walked away and if I did I would not get any more work from that contractor. Its a choice you have to make.

    OMFG i would said same that is apalling, it would take a miracle to even get that put right.

    it is disgusting how they get away with it.

    i can remember a gang dabbers well dabber and m8 and dabber was a kin chef, holy hell was his work rough. used to get paid extra just to follow him.

    I was having a battle with myself on whether or not I would grab it with my fingernails and yank hard. I really, really, wanted to.... but maybe the plasterboard would have fallen on me too?
