    Default Sanding machine

Used a sanding machine for the first time today in 10 years of jointing and I've got to say .... WOW !! I'm actually looking forward to the next unit to sand now rather than dreading it .

You'll get the discs on ebay too mate. I needed 60grit to sand the rough off an artex hall & stairs and I think it was 6 for 25 discs

nice 1 s j,a wee tip,buy a spare driveshaft and casing, because when it breaks at the start of a house and you have to sand the rest by pole it breaks your heart.go to downloads on here and you will see a schematic on how to change them, its really easy peasy,i did it in about 10 minutes and had never done it before all you need is a pair of grips and a slotted head screwdriver.
e k how did you get on sanding the artex with it.

Not very well tbh! It had been coated a million times with vinyl silk so was really tough. Still not finished it though, its a thank you job for family so it'll get done whenever ! I will either need a lower grit sandpaper or just have to spend more time on it. Still have to skim it out so as long as it takes the worst of it off then I'm happy.

or try these - our most popular brand - the best drywall sanding discs are 220mm - if you use over 225mm you risk the chance of shredding your brush skirt to pieces, have seen a few abrasive companies selling slightly too large a diameter discs 230mm + these need to be avoided.

sounds a right bugger ek,think i would give it a good coat of carlite bonding rather than try to sand it down, would mean taking skirting and facings of right enough.

Thanks e.k taper but I need the 220 mm ones ,
@belmoreboy I see you've got bg ones in your sale section ! Are they any good ? Also is there much movement on price for the triangular ones as I'm dying to give that a go ? ( although I have a feeling it may just be a gimmick

Hi singing jointer - send me a message with what you are looking for at 5 per 25 these are a bargain - clearance stock from Artex - they are really good discs to be fair shame they have discontinued - worth grabbing while you can http://www.belmoretools.co.uk/acatal...Pro_Discs.html

when they are all gone try the belmore yellow most popular disc we sell and a favourite amongst most in the uk - http://www.belmoretools.co.uk/acatal...all_Discs.html = buy more and save more !
