Smile Free sandpaper..... as long as you have lots of names!

HI guys this is my first new thread so be gentle
I’m always on the look out of great deals so tend to spend a few hours a month trawling the net & eureka I think i’ve found one!::
Was on ebay – typed in ‘Free sandpaper’ and look what came up:
    http://alturl.com/9irp
Thought, they’re bluffing, they’d never send me a free sample ... boy was i wrong... they did, they did!
THEY SENT ME A FREE SAMPLE – it was the premium red version, no holes, 100 grit – worked a treat.
Now i’m sitting down with a pen and paper trying to think of as many alias names and addresses i can think of to get more free samples!
To be honest I’m just going to buy like 20 packs (of 25) from them as they’re cheaper than the other sellers - £15 in Vat & Free delivery – pack of 25, red premium, 100 grit. The seller also said he’d do great deals if i bought bluk.
E-mailed the seller, they said it was liquidation stock from a developer, they only had a few left and had no intention to re-stock as it was a chance buy.
Thought i’d share! Free samples for all!

Well I'm never sure with these online forum thingys Had some bad run-ins in the past.

Glad you liked the link - if i source anymore cheap stuff i'll be sure to post.

Not sure how many people have ebay on this site but I was going to ask the seller if they had an e-mail address as that might be an easier way for others to make contact?

And a follow up phone call from the fellow during the week. I've always bought the bloody expensive yellow paper with small holes or Mirka Abranet I found on wet n drywall. I get the chance to test drive my free sample tomorrow morning.

I think its not any tougher than the abranet stuff I've been using recently but at £15 for a pack of 25 you cant grumble at the price.
Will buy a few packs before supplies run out. Cheers

Yeah I also thought it was very good. I usually buy the premium red one anyway - it was exactly the same quality and lasted just as long - but cheaper (because price inc VAt & Free delivery if you order direct via e-mail). I've just ordered 50 as I don't want any cheeky bugers coming in and taking all the stock!!

The ebay listing has ended but they've reposted:

    Happy hunting.

Did everyone receive their sandpaper? I've had a bad experience with ebay where things I ordered never arrived.

I'll let you know tomorrow as my order should come. However, I should say that I’ve talked to them over the phone & it’s rare for a seller to give our there contact number - so I’m almost certain that my items will definitely get delivered.Plus the seller is Paypal verified with no disputes on their file, which is reassuring. Moreover, I think anybody who wants to send me free samples get a thumbs up in my books.Anyhow i'll let you know if i get the goods.

I dont have paypal but the fella will accept a cheque. Feel such a cheapskate now only ordering 10 packs, and Willis has probably cleaned the guy out with his 50 pack order. Hope theres some left for me.

    LOL!

I got my packs yesterday - came as promised - very nice people to deal with.

I ordered 50 packs because I know over the course of a year (or two!) i'll definitely use it - so I can't be bothered to keep ordering – also i’m making such a saving!

I’m sure if he's promised you 10 then he'll keep his word - but I wouldn't hang on for long mate. I was worried that some developer or contractor will just come in and take the lot!

Not much happening in the world of tape and jointing now - everybody down here seems to waiting for the Olympics to kick in - don't know why as they'll be so much cheap labour that the quality guys like us will be out priced - or has anybody got a few contracts lined up?

Theres another thread on the forum with not much happening about London 2012.
Stating pretty much the same as you've just said ironically.
And we've yet to hear from a taper who works there.

    Sorry I forgot to say....
My order was delivered last week and I had no problems with the sandpaper or the seller and would deal with him again.
