    Default A little introduction.

    drywallschool.com

    Hi everyone,

My name is Marc Wilson and I work for a company you may have heard of called Artex and Gyproc Tools. We are a sister company of British Gypsum and proud to be part of that.

After a chance conversation with Alex, who you know as amestaper, pointed me in the direction of this forum, which is fantastic. I have never come across a taping and jointing forum before which gives tapers and jointers a grounds in which they can share ideas and generally talk about the business know as taping.

I myself was a time-served taper and jointer before joining Artex, so I have a clear idea of the problems which you guys come across on site daily. One of my roles now is to promote and demonstrate our new range of taping tools, SpeedtapePRO, which we manufacture ourselves. The great thing about working with Artex is they strive to learn what people really want and need on site, be it materials or tools, and whether we can improve them and make your life easier.

I am based in Scotland and maybe some of the members here already know me. I am trying hard to get into contact with ALL tapers and jointers in this area, but it's going to take a bit of time. In the mean time, if you have any questions about any our tools and products, please do not hesitate to ask!

Thanks for taking the time out to read this.

    Regards,
    Marc

    Hi Marc.

Thanks for your intro. It's great to see another tool guy and taper joining the forum and I appreciate your positive comments about the site. As far as we're aware, this is the first English speaking forum to cater specifically for tapers and jointers in Europe. (If I'm wrong please let me know because we have searched) The site is only 7 months old and in time should continue to be a bustling community for everyone involved in our trade.

There's plenty of open threads to add a comment to, or please feel free to start your own.

    Welcome to tapingandjointing.com!

    Hello again Marc.

Thanks for your introductory phone call this morning. It's always a pleasure to speak to likeminded people anytime of day even when I have a stinky cold. Glad to see you found your way here.
