Called to get a pallet sent up at 2.30pm yesterday.
Delivered to Scotland by 1pm today.
Excellent service, much appreciated and saves buying Promix (or as we call it freemans with fairy liquid)@24 per tub
    Cheers all at Belmore

Hi belmoreboy. How do you go about getting a sample sounds like good material. Pro mix man usually but if this is cheaper and as good as be worth a look at. Cheers

Tried the freemans filler this week, thanks Marcus for the sample bags.

if you like the red bag bg filler you should love this, in fact it has many qualities some similar to the ready mix joint cement. It cleans off your tools nice, it easy to mix, leaves a ultra clean edge, sets soft enough so it sands with the top coat so no filler surf marks showing through your finish, good body but also spreads easy, it light, low shrinkage, it grabs the tape so you can put angle on and coat up straight away without any movement problems, should work well in a banjo for sticking paper tape on... Oh and it should box well.. Very well infact.

lots of you will like it though I am not sure it's as good comparatively to the ready mix.

The reason I won't be using it is it suffers from chemical separation, or areo moose syndrome. It's all bubbles when put on the wall in any decent amount, ok for joints if your willing to smooth over a few times or just putting on ultra tight but for angle it's a pain.

many won't mind this and indeed plenty fillers out there suffer the same issue, BG red bag being a good example. For me I want a two coat filler that can be put on with one stroke and smoothed out and edged in another.. So two strokes not 4 or 5. The only two products on the market that can do that reliably are BG easy fill and g-tech easy finish extra ( green bag filler/finish) .

So definitely worth you trying it but not good enough for my demands.

Thanks again marcus for the trial bags, not sure this is worth the resulting carbon foot print of bringing it over, but am sure some will like it.

Nice review Thomas. Been using Wondertex but the filler tears if you try and go over it after more than 30 seconds after cutting it on. Can't beat BG red bag or Easifill IMO.

Hi hi we use nearly 2 pallets of freeman a month. Wasn't so sure about it to start with but it's brilliant and competive with price. Use this with bg filler again which is the best by far

Haha I'm not a fan of 2 coating and amaZed to see some shoddy tapers get away with it.

We may box fill a big house but always 10" and 12"

Chit I just finished that house with all the vaulted chit and I gave it a coat of freemans fastest and 12 box! Perfect!

also worth mentioning you can 3 coat and still do it in a day... really boxing a tight skim coat takes fuck time.

narrow filler (getech trade is good for that job)
    nice coat of easi fill
    top coat of freeman...

you can even put the internal tapes up with easi fill and flush with a 3.5 corner head,
then top with a 3" when its set... perfect!

might add a few min to your day depending on house size but for a standard 3 bed or small 4 bed its not going to add any more than a hour onto your day... half that if you move your arse!
