Well I taped a 2 bed in a day today( 4.5 hours) with freeman for finish coat and to install internal tapes. Not used this product in this way until now.

It was great! The best in a day internals I have ever done for sure. The stuff seems to semi set when left on the wall so you can top over internal tapes after a hour with great success.

Wont know if I avoided pin holes etc until it's rubbed down but I would say I did by the look of it.

i coated up angle with a 6" knife but topped it with trowel so that's a real test of the freeman ready mix as in places it's fairly thick.

    We we will see.

Freeman make different types of ready mix but I think belmore only sell the ready mix lite. It the best in the range for shrinkage resistance and sanding but not tape bonding. That's funny though as my tapes stuck back with freeman have a very strong bond, much better than any other uk compound.

Thanks Tom, Funny about bonding tapes I had given to me some bags of BG joint cement, now I don't like to use this coz it dries too hard, so I thought I would use it for bedding on tapes. AND its shit for that too, bloody gluey slimey shite that runs down the wall. BG Bin Gear.

if it's your job ie not subcontracting then why not put pva in! It won't do any harm and gives peace of mind.

Yea the BG quick sand is crap for bonding tapes! All BG is crap other than easy fill. Some like the filler... Must smell nice, fuck knows.

even the BG screws are crap! .. Can't even make screws...
