Default What do we do in our spare time?

    Real-Debrid

So we know what we all do for work, but what does everyone do in their spare time. Do you have any hobbies?

I'm a keen amateur brewer, have been for a few years. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to hobbies and have a few which my wife considers obsessions. I also like gambling, particularly poker (although the horses and sports do get a few bets) and have a library of books on the subject. Brewing is the major one though and I'm currently training up to be a recognized beer judge, hopefully it will lead to lots of free beer at competitions in the future...

What spare time? Ive been on this forum until the wee small hours every night lately, so I suppose this could be considered an obsession. I'm partial now and again to a game of Texas Hole 'em and will happily attempt to drink all your home brew if given half the chance. I tried home brewing once when I was younger with a kit my father didn't need anymore, and the cider and ale I created really knocked 10 bells out of anyone who came into contact with it

I also like live music, darts, travelling, golf, football, snooker and pool. Last autumn, I considered taking up skydiving for a fleeting moment to help a worthy cause only to be told I was too heavy to jump. This is maybe a blessing in disguise as I won't now have to endure the embarrasment of being pushed out of a moving aeroplane while screaming like a little girl.

All I seem to do is work to pay the bills. If I had the money, i'd buy myself a KTM 640 and piss off every weekend, but I don't, so until I do, all I can do is bitch about it.

Not much time nowadays for hobbies with work and the latest family edition!
But when i do get a spare weekend i like nothing better than spot of fishing, used to be heavy into match scene and dabbled in a few major compettions in uk ireland and cyprus (chasing a dream and the big bucks!) Think we should sort out taping and jointing fishing match

Got a Norwich City Football club season ticket for my sins, been going to hallowed carrow rd for over 25 years now ! (sad i know) but we are top of the league !!

If I can find the time I like to load my KTM 300 exc into the van & head out to do a few enduros, or head in to wales with a few TRF mates Green laning

or if we have a strong south westerly i will be down on the water punnishing my self trying to kitr surf

The rest of the time is spent getting all the kit washed & sorted for the next expo

cheers lads, well the van cost me 2 grand and im nearly up to 2 grand for the conversion, just a few little finishing touches to go, there is a lot of demand for these at the moment as they are the next big vw cult vehicle. To buy one already converted your looking at anywhere from 8 to 14 grand, so i'm well under having done all the work myself, carpeting, electrics, running water, fridge, etc, etc. Scariest part was cutting massive holes in each side for windows.

2 grand was cheap for that van. It's one of the last pre-facelift 102hp 2.5s isn't it? (going by the colour of the TDi badge)
    I had a1998 S reg that I sold for 3200 in 2006. The T4's just don't depreciate.

You must be a fellow vw connoisseur Tony yes its the 102 2.5 tdi, glad i chose it over the 1.9, has quite a high mileage (170'000) but drives like new, feels more like a car than a van, my mate has a 2.5 with 520'000 miles on it, so I'm guessing I should be ok for a few more years with regular servicing. I've seen 1998 model unconverted vans going for 4000+ recently on ebay.
