Default The new flex drywall sander

I have been able to get a look at the new flex sander.
Things you might like to know.
First of all it feels alot better constructed than the original.
It is a little heavier than the original, but not much.
It has a bit more power as well.
The rep asures me that the driveshaft problems have been sorted.
The price, I've been quoted 786. ( But my wife works for a fixings and powertool company so I get it at cost + 10%. sorry guys)
The triangle head looks like it should get right into the corners of fully internal stuff.
The rep will come out and give me a demo on site. So i will report back whan that happens.

Good price from what ive seen - better check that it's the full kit as have seen kits with just the round head not the triangle for around that price.

Be interested to see what you think of it - at the moment i would find it hard to sell it against the festool or even the original flex due to it's price.

I'd buy it over the Festool and i've only seen it, not played with it. 850 inc vat I was quoted for the full kit in the case.

Paying an extra 350+ for this model seems pointless.

Yes, but think about all those ceiling lines and corners you wouldn't have to detail sand.

Fair point but without seeing one work i think you would still have to go round with a stick and a bit of hand sanding in corners, but i maybe wrong!

when the rep comes out to show me, i should have a better idea of how far it goes into the corners. Would hope that it does, looks like it might. I do agree that if it doesn't go right into corners and you still have to detail sand, it's alot of money for a new sander, that does the same job as the old one. ( massive hangover this morning!)

Had the rep in today, and must admit it's a cracking looking bit of kit will have some stock in a couple of weeks and have better pricing than when it was originally relaesed which is good. Keep you all informed!

To be honest i dont need one, still got a boxed one in the garage and 2 in the van, having said that if it can detail sand then i would be a fool not to look into it, but it would have to be sub 700 to get my ears pricked!

    Default Vario Plus on Ebay

There are 2 of the new sanders on Ebay at the moment. One at 859 and the other at nearly a grand, both unfortunately 240Volt.

    It's finally here!!

got stock of the New flex wst 700 vv vario plus - will only be selling the full kit with the two heads.

Vario with just round head available on request - but we feel if the option for the trangulr head is there it should be used!
Have it on a RRP but if you are serious give me a call and i will sort a nice little deal out for you, obviously try my best to price match like for like.

Really is a spot on piece of kit and very clever design.

you can check out the spec and product video over at Belmore site - link on the homepage

I'm curious as to how the triangle head works, is it vibration? if this is the case has anyone tried it out yet and can say that it works and is a decent speed or yes it works but it would be quicker to tidy the top corners by hand?

yes its vibration or (eccentric) as they stupidly call it - and yes it works really well !! its geared so wont spin when traiangle head is on and best part about it is that triangle head can rotate 360 degrees so you run from ceiling down wall edge without having to adjust how you hold it ! very neat and can see why we have waited so long for such a smart piece of technology - very sturdy sander and flex tools are really top notch nowadays. Anyone that fancies a punt on it make sure you give me a call will always sort nice price for forum members
