    Default Material costs m2

Has anyone a method or does anyone know how much material costs a m2.
    ie if you take a
    Roll of Scrim............ .....@ 1.60
Roll of paper tape..... ....@ 2.50
    Roll of Corner tape/flex ...@ 7.50
    Bag of filler................... @5.00
    Bag of joint cement ........@13.50

What would be the m2 cost? and how do/did you work it out

My method of pricing a m2 is knowing anything over 2.20 (supplying materal) is making money...

Yes quite agree, more would be better, but how much of that 2.20 is material

erm, good question. I suppose you would have to sit and work out how many m2 from each bag of finish and filler, then how many linear meters from scrim, flex, paper and bead. Then the type of jointing ie corners flat walls arches etc... phew i think ill stick to anything over 2.20

It's somewhere between 30p & 40p per metre for compound, scrim and corner bead, and about 20p for drywall sealer.
Using my method (3 coats) and materials.

    Average 3 bed house @ 350m2
4 bags Easifill, 4 bags BG Joint cement, 4 rolls scrim, 2 rolls paper (if no coving),25 lengths 2.4m USG bead, 4 x 10ltr Lafarge drywall sealer.
    Total material cost = 215 + Vat
    215/350 = 61.4p + vat.

I could save money by using joint filler and flex tape but prefer my materials.

If I had no work at all and had to work for sub 2 a metre, I would use Wondertex @ 4.65 for filler and 9 for cement, still use the USG bead @ 48p a linear metre and do it in 2 coats with a fuck you attitude.

The only real variable is the amount of corner bead.
