so 3pounds/m2 is about 0.46USD per square feet

you guys have about the same price as I get here in Quebec. (labour only) on easy jobs we usually have .365$ per feet. but we are sub contractors. No mess with material, no mess with not getting paid, no mess to explain the owner why the painter applied dirty water instead of primer on his walls etc. Job done, job paid, it's worth the .80$ for me. Working for the same company all year long, always near home (max 20 minutes from home) I've never been happier to do this job.

See! The rates are out there. It's the fact that people are willing to work for f*** all, that the majority of rates are low.

company i'm subbying for just now is paying me 2.50 m2 labour only and 3 per metre for beads. contracts manager shopped around but all other companys were wanting more so guess someones making money elsewhere if they can afford to overprice work. 2.50 is very reasonable at the minute.

Default Rates down here on the south coast

    Labour only around 2-50 m2
    supply /labour as a subbie 3-00m2
direct to a main contractor 4-00m2 but then wait 2 months for your readies minus deductions
