Hi - I could do with some advice and maybe a recommendation. Some site are now only accepting Tapers with The Blue Card from CSCS. And our trade is listed as Drywall finisher - I think. This card needs an NVQ2 qualification. So although I have been jointing for years I need to upgrade my CSCS Card. If anyone can recommend an assessor or a good firm to do this with. Thanks very much - James

Ive heard they're going down this road. I have the gold card, says Painter & Decorator on the back which still allows me to tape. I think its September 2017 its getting introduced but obviously some sites starting early. 1200 for an assessment I've been told! So some twat can tell us we can do the job we've been doing for years! Hopefully a group booking or similar will bring the cost down, but its just another way of fleecing us, a money making scam.
I'd be interested also if anyone can point us in the right direction

I thought the cscs card was brought in for health and safety not trade specific aknoweledgement, its a total farce, money making scam
