In response to login and registration problems some users have experienced.

You can browse most areas of the site as a guest but site use is limited. The process is pretty simple; you must first register if you want to start a thread, post a comment, login to your account or find contact details of forum members.

Once you have registered you will be sent an additional email from our forum to the email address you supplied during the registration process. If you gave us a legitimate one then all you have to do is click the link back to us enclosed within this email and you're all done. If you haven't received this email, check any spam folders you may have on your inbox or you can always request another confirmation email from us. Unfortunately we have to verify email addresses due to a number of spam accounts we had registering.

You will receive 2 emails; it's as simple as that! You receive one email titled "Action Required to Activate Membership" then another welcoming you to the site once you have confirmed this email address really exists.

Some users may expect you to post an introduction first as lurkers can arouse suspicion. You can if you want to, but you're not obliged to do so. We only want this site to be a successful online community and database of trade information that everyone with an internet connection has access to.

We expect civility and respect from everyone who joins in. There is no skin colour, religious divide, country borders, and we are all equal. It's up to you how you use this forum. It can be light hearted nonsense or serious business discussions about any topic you want.

If you would like more information, please read the site rules (http://www.tapingandjointing.com/forum/pages.php?pageid=2) or FAQ (http://www.tapingandjointing.com/forum/faq.php).

If you have any more questions not answered in the 2 links above, please feel free to ask below on this thread.

Thanks for reading.

This won't affect existing members.

We apologise for any inconvenience but due to the ratio of spammers versus genuine members registering we have decided to moderate all user accounts before anyone can become a member. We will attempt to activate all legitimate accounts within 24 hours.

As usual, your comments are more than welcome.

Account moderation is switched off now we have a 24 hour sentry on guard that has caught over 2000 of them. Each new registration is checked against a known spammer database and then warned what will happen if they post it.

I dont think new members could be bothered with the hassle of waiting 8 hours to have their account moderated. Its now Register - Confirm your email - Join in. Simple.
