Default Dry lining/ metal stud contract up for grabs in South West of France

    Real-Debrid

Hi Guys, I have a contract on a new build in the South West of France. It requires metal stud partitions/dry lining/taping and finish etc. There is 750 sq metres of wall work and 630 sq mtrs of ceiling work. There is a max budget of 30k for materials and labour. If anyone is interested in doing this, let me know.

I hope everyone got the heads up I left. This job is probably better suited to someone from France or the south of England. The fellow reckons its cheaper to buy the materials in the UK then take then down.... I would then have the problem of what to do with the lorry we just used. It was our opinion that 30K wasnt enough for digs, transportation of timber, boards and the taping.

Anyhoo, heres the photos I got from the builder and its still up for grabs as far as Im aware.

The jobsite is in the Tarn region, aproximately 25 miles east of Toulouse in a wee village called Damiatte.

It would be a nice job to add to the CV. Please let us know if anyone lands this.

Surely you must be able to get la farge boards and taping gear for cheaper locally than driving from Uk to southern France!

I wish I wasn't so busy, i'd go and do that and camp on site. Be nice to see a drawing and spec to price it accurately.

Both valid points guys but the fella never sent a detailed pdf or plans on paper. These photos are all we have to go on visually, and we still dont know the floorspace or even how many rooms. Theres just too many details missing to make an accurate decision. The guy who was going to build the partitions for me took one look and said no for 30k as he reckons its worth more.

Not saying we wouldnt have done it if we werent as busy and materials were on site though.

Send the guy a PM if youre interested. I would rather a member got the job than it going to waste.

Just so you know guys, my joiner with 30 odd years experience reckons anyone who takes this job is taking a financial risk unless they live locally.

There's not enough info, but I reckon nearer 40k plus transportation.
