British Gypsum powders
As in Easi-fill and Quicksand/Joint Cement, had a chat today with one of their sales bodies and as long as I order a minimum of 14 tonnes they will sell it to me!
Right, so who wants a tonne or 2?"YOUR PRIUS JUST SAVED ALL THE PETROL MY MUSTANG USED!"

This thread got buried quickly.... and who would know any contractor who needed that much? lol
Your messages are really important to us

Logisticaly it could be a good money saver, a few quick fag pack calculations gives the following...
14ton of quicksand =560 bags split that between 10 of us is 56bags each which i'm sure will be used within 3 months?! (i get through approx 30-40bags a month)
14ton of easifill =1400 bags split between 10 is 140bags each, which again i'm sure will be used within 3 months?! (i get through approx 40-50bags a month)
Of course the 10 people would have a split load of quicksand and easifill which when you think about it isnt a huge amount and would most likely last them 4-6 weeks perhaps?
Infact I will speak to BG again and get some prices from them to see if it is a viable idea, as most places like B&Q sell easifill for a little over £10 a bag I would assume they buy it in for around half that?, the other side to be thought about is dry storage and ways for people to collect or arrange collection/delivery.
If I got prices etc, would enough of you be interested?"YOUR PRIUS JUST SAVED ALL THE PETROL MY MUSTANG USED!"

Why would you bother Steve? Are the rates you are working for, that bad?
