Drywall Sealer
I remember years ago there was a Drywall Sealer that dryed to a very hard finish, probably back in the 80s.
I spoke to the BG rep who said that it had been discontinued.
Now I was looking for something like that not so long back, Tuffhide is the nearest thing but cannot be rollered like this stuff.
Would anyone like to see it make a come back?
Or is there another sealer like it out there.
Just a quick story about this sealer.
Was working on a McCarthy and Stone block of flats in the 80s and the Taper (Machine)
had finished the corridor and communal area and was rolling the sealer on.
It was lunchtime so left everything were it was, and had lunch, when he came back somebody had drawn a big smiley face with the sealer on the wall in the communal area.
Now as this stuff goes rock hard, (2 coats for a vapour check in wet areas) it could not be sanded out, and the poor bugger had to put 2 coats of ames over it to hide it, even though it was being papered

The BG red /white tub goes really hard and I used that until I found the Lafarge Universal Sealer. Lafarge is softer but has better opacity.
