Default End of year tax returns

    drywallschool.com

We find we're two CIS certificates short and I have the same problem every year. Not that I'm worried if I don't get them as my accountant will deal with it. Any of you guys have to chase main contractors for them?

It's not any better than the old 714 or SC60 tax system they had in place for the guys who do the contract work is it? The only difference I think it makes is benefiting the IR who have to verify workers now.

You don't really need them. As long as you have your own invoices and bank records, HMRC will accept that as proof of having tax taken. I was short a couple last year, but got my full rebate.

The benefits of working as an employee on PAYE is that it's someone elses problem, not yours.

I've been self -employed all my working life and don't think I could be employed.

Oh good, It's that time of year again? Happy birthday and Xmas day all rolled into one for the inland revenue.
