    Default Barn Conversion May 2012

    drywallschool.com

Here's a job i've been on for a month now. Got to be the most awkward job i've ever had to do. Took me 3 and a half weeks to board and it's only 5-600 mtrs. Taping it is going to be a mare too.

All external walls are double boarded with one layer of vapour check installed foil side out, all joints taped and junctions air stopped, then top layer, but on ground floor i've hung it horizontally with the taper 110 mm from FFL to allow for l-trim, 5mm margin and 100mm slate skirting to finish flush with face of plasterboard. Got to put l-trim up against main oak beams too.

May as well Steve. I'm having to trim a quarter of an inch off the shorter paper side of the bead as it's too long for the double layer reveals up against the oak.

Nearly 300m of bead/l-trim in this place. It's doing my nut in.

Very tidy work there Tony, is one of those jobs you curse while doing it but even impress yourself with the results.

You're right there. I'll be glad when it's sanded & sealed.
