Thick coat arch bead?
Hope you boy's can help with this. I have to skim a wall in a dining room which has an arch about 6ft across. This wall is previously plastered, but the inside of the arch and the walls in the adjoining room are very heavy pattern artex. Obviously I need to bead around the arch, but it needs to be thin coat on the diner side and thick for the underside of the arch and the next room, cos I need to bond and set them. does anyone manufacture a flexi bead to get over this problem? Iam working for a company and have been forbidden to scrape/sand the artex back flat cos of the asbestos.
Hope this makes sense.
P.S Any other ways around this problem would be most welcome!

Just a quick thought, how about a former on both sides ( to match the arch ) to do the underside of the arch with bonding, then stop beads on the underside set to the required thickness?
There is a plastic/vynl arch bead I think done by Knauf that might work, I know Crack Filler has used it.

Hiya the plastic bead I used was the knauf one but don't think it would be any good here as it wouldnt take the thick coat. It also follows whatever curve is there so the arch has to already be the correct shape.
