    Default Q tech sander

Anyone any experience of the q tech sander as advertised on the Belmore site? In the market for a new one preferably without breaking the bank.

Well DMC, I've used the new QTech sander a few times now and its really good! As good, if not better than the Flex 500 to be honest. Same size and weight so its not as if you're using something cheap and nasty, it does what you expect it to
Only downside, the sander motor gives out a blast of cold air that would cut you in two! Nothing a pair of gloves doesnt solve though.
    Worth a try mate

anyone had any problems with the q tech? the part that holds the swivel joint to the sanding head has come loose on mine, don't know if its screws that was holding it in or what but only had it 6 months, will this be covered with warranty?

Hi sq ames - just stumbled on this one! yes we can sort this under warranty for you i have seen this on a handful of occasions, it will be the screws that sit in the head plate they can come loose under vibration, when you fit the new ones its worth using some threadlock or super glue to stop this happening again incase the thread hole is loose for some reason. it's not really a failure on the machine more so it seems if machine is under load on ceilings for a long time ( 4- 5 months plus)
ping me your address you want me to send these to on a pm here & i will have our team pop some in the post for you monday morning.

We have also seen a few machines recalled for the brush cover caps - not every machine just random, if yours are loose again apply some threadlock (threadlock is better here) as it can be easily snapped open when you need to change the brushes (every 12 months or so dependent on use of course)

Apart from this hope you are enjoying using the Qtech Strata drywall sander it's still a fantastic machine for the money and selling like mad at present - hoping to keep pricing held for next delivery.
