Unusual speakers (paint over) how to plasterboard?
Hi people.
I need some help.
I am building a house and am going to install Stealth Acoustics speakers.
http://stealthacoustics.com/products...ow-to-install/
These are designed for the american market where they do not skim over their walls and just fill the joints with "mud" I am worried this will give me a poor quality finish.
So these are the ideas I have had
1 - fermacell boards and then just apply a fermacell fine surface finish to the whole lot
http://www.fermacell-drylining.co.uk/the-product-range
2 - Just normal plasterboard and just joint and tape it
3 - normal plasterboard and apply fermacell Fin surface finish (which is supposed to give it a paster like finish)
Any advice would be appreciated.

This is a tape and jointing forum and as with most systems, tape & joint, skim, render etc the finnish you get depends on how good your tradesman is. IF your going to have a go at this your self then yes you will end up with a poor quality finnish.
