    Exclamation Assistance needed. Please help


    Hi there,

    As you can see in my short introduction, I am working for an online business called MioTools.

    We are a Leipzig/Germany based online-store selling sanding machines, industrial vacuum cleaners, abrasives and accessories to professionals and DIY home improvers.
    Since we only started doing business in the UK this year, we still need to find out more about our (hopefully) future customers. Therefore we have created a survey to get the answers we need.

    With this survey we would like to find out more about where British customers shop for products like the ones we offer, how they use them, what they appreciate about online-shopping and so forth. Completing the survey will take about 5 minutes.

    I would very much appreciate if you could take the time answering the questions in our survey. As a little 'thank you', we offer you a 10 GBP voucher for shopping in the abrasive section in our online shop when completing the survey.

    Ok.. There is really help needed.
    I am trying to call Drywall companies, Contractors, (also tried Plasterers) and so on regarding this survey but either nobody's answering the phone or they hang up on me or they say they are not interested.

    I understand calls like this seem annoying and there is not a lot of time for a chat when there's a lot of work to do but: Just like you i am trying to do my job here.

    Please could anyone tell me some kind of 'trick' or even just a little hint how I can get the people talk to me about sanding machines and abrasives? I don't want to sell anything. I just want to ask some questions.

    Be female, don't be a pushy sales type person, give away a free sweetener if they give you some of their time, and don't call from an 08*, or a withheld phone number. Unfortunately you have to make yourself stand out from all the crap we receive on a daily basis. I receive at least one cold call a day and I'm not even trading any more, so I expect the guys who are still operating must be receiving more calls than I do?

    You could send a text or email and that way they could respond at a time convenient to them?
    Your messages are really important to us
    ...but not important enough to employ a sufficient number of support staff to answer them.

    Well.. I am female, I am no pushy sales type person, for every completed survey we give away a 10 GBP voucher to be used in the abrasives section in our online shop and I am not calling from either an 08* number nor a hidden number and it still doesn't work. *doh!

    I didn't know you guys receive such a high amount of sales calls a day.. That sounds quite frustrating to me. The idea with the emails is not too bad. Texting is not possible cause I only work with a landline here. Thanks a lot for your tips!

    It is and it usually doesn't stop when I get home. Even for folks registered with the TPS, the telemarketers can navigate around the small print by sending an automated message instead.
    Unfortunately it's a barrier you will have to charm yourself through.
