Yeah, they must have had a list that would have choked a horse by the time he was finished, H&S has never been a strong point on this site. Been on it sinc July and havent even seen an oxford system let alone used one.

Too late for me I got caught last week, He came in and asked how I had first coated the stair well, I said I had a scaffold which the boarders now had in the next house and I would get it back to finish off. He left and I thought that was it until I was up my ladder an hour later and he re appeared with his camera. Doh!!!

One of the Tapers I knew a few years ago, ( when all this Bollox first started) got collared for the same thing, ladder and plank, cost him 1000. he chucked it in after that

That's what I generally do, go and sit in my van while they're on site.
however, it's your contractor that gets the fine I believe, and he just takes it from your money so it's him you'll have to fight with!
Brian, I think the figure of 1000 is correct. Helluva lot of money eh!

If your contractor docks money from your earnings without consent thats ilegal. Any way lets hope it doesnt come to that.

Yeah they're banned on sites now, have been for 3 or 4 years. Got put off a job myself for using one, well, I got yellow carded but calling him a fat pr**k was the last straw!

Seen a couple H&S but not often!!
First 1 I saw was on a Saturday morning,This guy pulled up in his car and started having a go at me for no hi-vis and hard hat!!
I was like who the f*ck is this? He got out of his car 2 carry on havin a go at me so I kicked the door closed in his face lol!! Me and him never got on after that but he would leave me alone! But he was employed by the firm and not 1 that u guys have 2 deal with! Im quite lucky up here as its single houses I do and not stuck on a site!!
By the way housing is booming up here again! But u guys just stay where u r!!
