National data base
Does anyone think if there was a map and you could put a pin or outline your work area so potential employers could find fixers and tapers that work the local area. So less traveling for us and maybe get the first bite.

Somehow this topic was missed and it seems a good idea in theory. Is there any interest from you guys?

I have just finished a job in Swindon and had to have a couple of days off as I had promised to to another job before this one, They the firm sent a couple of chaps down from Sunderland as they have used them before. When I got back on the job hardly anything had been done and what was done was bumped, I said to the foreman about this and he said they did the same on another job in Glasgow. The point is they never learn from their mistakes. I wish I could of found one of you fellas on the forum now.

Thanks for supporting my idea Marcus, I just hope other chaps on here have an input as it will be a great idea for subbies and suppliers. I have got to say firms that I work for are generally from miles away and make use of TP, JSONS BQ ect. so we have to make do with whatever they stock.
Subbies who need to make a few days up on the week or between jobs it would be a benefit and those who are running late to a program, where they can call on local tapers, painters, plasterers, fixers ect. WOW What a good idea come on chaps reply with your intrest lets make an idea real.

If I get it in writing then I will 2 coat but when you have done loads of meters you need to get payed and no excuses. I say to people that this trade is like swimming with sharks and sometimes you will get bit.

Speaking from previous experience, it's disappointing when a new feature flops because it's barely used. Namely our mothballed ChatRoom and Blog, then the underused Gallery, Articles and RSS Live Job Feed. With that in mind, this fine suggestion needs build requests from many more members as it may take days to build.

I could be well loaded if I sold that database of tradesmen, suppliers, catchment areas etc
Seriously though, there's been no other inquiries or phone calls in the last 3 years.
However, you are welcome to try get some tradesmen interested as networking is what the forum is still online for, even though I'm long gone from the tools.
Its still a great idea but I'm not going to build one for any less than around 50 businesses. I would also need help with the coding and that costs time and money.
Leave your thoughts and feedback here and I will try and catchup tomorrow.Your messages are really important to us
