Yea I got a box but I gave it to my worker to use and not sure of the outcome!
His opinion would differ from mine!!
I'm a freemans man also but the driver managed to drop the pallet off the back of his truck on Monday! 64 boxes lying on there side in my drive! (Not Impressed)

thank fuck it was freeman then and not bags of powder or readymix in plastic tubs( they would be broken) or cheaper boxes( they would suffer a worse fate also) .

Those freeman boxes are well put together.

Living in the north of Scotland there is only one builders merchant where I live. The next is 70 likes away. All I can get and have used is Gtec smart mix, fast set, paper etc. I think it is expensive compared to what I see on here. I have seen company's using wondertex and speed line. Don't know what there like. Seen Sheetrock online but don't want to commit to bulk as I don't know Is its any good. The postage is ridiculous to just buy one tub. Can any one give me a bit of a pointer in the right direction as to what they are like.

Stay away from sheetrock as Knauf have f*cked it totally!
Best bet is buy a pallet of Freemans from Belmore(Marcus) I am from the north east of Scotland and shipping free on a pallet! GTECH is crap, Steel tape crap and as for their fast set it has to be the worst out!!

What metal tapes do you use. I have been using leveline. Seems good. What fast set would you get. How hood is freemans. Easy to sand. Good for finishing etc.

    It's totally hood homes...

all fillers have their issues when compared to the simplicity of using a good ready mix or great multipurpose mud. I have nothing good to say about the standard GTECH filler, arrow filler, knauff filler or Wondertex filler.. The GTECH trade filler is ok, it's weird to mix though mixes fast and does not shrink back, it's cheap lol Marcus new hard set freeman is good, it sets needlessly hard imo but rubs down ok, it does bubble up like aero moose a little but no worse than others. The only ones that never do that are BG easi fill and GTECH easy finish extra both are filler / finish compounds that set soft.

Freeman ready mix tops over their hard set filler really nice, if your using them as a combo it's hard to beat. Just for one day finishing you will have to smooth out the hard sets bubbles else you will find yourself in the shit when topping on it...or three coat with a tight 2nd coat just to fill in the bubbling.

Best on the go for steel tape would be arrow! Cheap also at about 7 a roll!
Bg fastset is what I use most but I do like the freemans fastest!
Freemans would be the best readymix in the country for using and sanding is a breeze!

Can't beat arrow for metal angle tape, for the roll in a box type that is...

What at did you think of the demo hard set bags from freeman? The new formula not the older filler Marcus has been selling for awhile.

Used the freemans fast set & It mixes up well, goes on lovely but very similar to easi-fill, sets like stone in about 30 mins.
nice to top over with freemans finish.
