    Default Spare parts

So I need a spare part for my Northstar pump, I need the main seal called a Vseal unfortunately its not compatable with any other pump like level5 its a different set up. So I do the google thing and can only find them in the USA problem is the seal is $13 but the postage is $54 yes 54 F*****g Dollars so sod that I give Gypsum tools a call being as they are the main UK distributer and the guy says he hasn't got one but will call the Northstar and see how much to get one sent over. Two phone calls and an email later Im still waiting. Im just wondering how they can offer a pump service for 90 when they don't have any parts.

I have a friend in the USA so I ordered the $13 seal had it shipped to him for $3 then he has posted it to me for $10. I actually ordered two so total cost for two was $39 which is still bloody expensive.

The lesson here is don't go buying expensive exotic Taping tools unless your are prepared to get shafted when they start to wear. For me its worth it I have had my Northstar gear a long time and its been faultless so I'll put up with it for now.

I once bought a pre wired David Gilmour pickguard from the guy in San Fransisco before you could buy them off dealers here. The post office pounded it until I handed over 100 import duty. Wasn't my local office either, I had to drive for miles across Edinburgh to pick it up. I've never bought anything over $20 since that unexpected kick in the nuts.

I expect more of the same bullshit after Brexit.
