    Default Rigger Boots Safe??

Balfour Beatty have banned Rigger boots due to the lack ankle support.
Has anyone else banned them or is it a Balfour thing?

I understood that they had been banned on some sites because a couple of people had got into problems in water in them.

However a quick google search does suggest it's due to ankle support.

I understood the ban was due to some tube deciding that there was no ankle support therefore not up to "elf & safety" If its true are safety shoes unsafe aswell? What a load of bollocks.

I thought if you wore rigger boots, it would turn you into a groundworker.

Riggers are alright for a walk round the site but i would not fancy trying to work in this lame footware.
