Pricing help please?
Hi have worked for someone and used their tools - i'm now working for myself would love some help with my pricing could you look over what my rates are and give some feed back please
1. £3.05 per square metre
2. £3.05 per metre external corner
these prices count materials and should the top internals between the ceiling and wall be an extra - living in the glasgow area
thank you for any help

Hi, the square metre rate is on par to what most are paying for commercial work (although some are going cheaper) but the chances of getting any extra for externals is highly unlikely, if there are a lot of them on a commercial job you would have to speak to the contractor and come up with a figure but chances are in most cases they will be included in the overall price your getting for the square metre.

I was talking external angles. Top internals will also be included in the square metre rate

You will make money at those prices and its a lot more than some guys are getting. Especially on new builds because I know some tradesmen are toiling away at between the one and two pound a square metre mark just to compete with lowballers. If thats a long term contract youre on, lucky you.

theres a firm from middlesbrough who were paying £260 per property .This worked out at about 58 pence a metre2!
Robbing gets. Trouble was they had guys on the books on 7 quid an hour who would take a fortnight to do a 2 bed flat. with bazooka etc!

Is this a new world record?
Thats the lowest square metre price I've ever heard of.
Would you care to enlighten us of any companies we should stay away from?
