Chatroom
We tried this before when a chatbox was active all the time. That didnt work.
What I'm proposing this time is hosting a forum chatroom once a week.
Who's interested in a live natter with the other members and when is the best time to host it?Your messages are really important to us
...but not important enough to employ a sufficient number of support staff to answer them.

I was hoping nobody would state the obvious
About to add a poll and you are all allowed 2 choices. Starting the week after next it could be on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday night from 8pm UK time. My preference would be weekends so our friends from overseas can join in.Your messages are really important to us

That was just a noticeboard that wasnt taken seriously turrican. I even left my mate a message to pick up 6 eggs and a pint of milk from the shops.
What I'm proposing is a proper moderated chatroom, one that only runs at specified times (whatever day is most popular on the vote). Just think of the network of likeminded people you could build by being able to speak to 20 or 30 other guys in the trade you may never have met, from all over the world, and all at the same time? Unfortunately you would have to bring your own beer and use your own PC but I can take care of the rest.
To my knowledge this hasn't ever been done before and I really hoped for a higher number interested in taking part.Your messages are really important to us

It isnt looking good for Thursday. Whatever night we decide on, I will be there with my Readers Digest, a cup of Horlicks and a hot water bottle.
Seriously though. This could be eventful and a good icebreaker for some of the newer members if we can get at least 20 people in the chatroom.Your messages are really important to us

It could have been an escape from the constant election claptrap on the telly.
