Thanks for your attention.
We expect everyone to read and understand these terms before posting a new thread. Hopefully this short comment will clear up some confusion over what's allowed and what's not in our classifieds forum. Here's what the score is.
- Opportunists who have no interest in the trade other than profiteering and only registered to offload tools with no history can keep them. Do not try and sell them here.
- Regular site members can buy, sell, swap, request and giveaway whatever they like (as long as it's legal).
- All tool distributors and suppliers can offer free samples and giveaways to the members.
- Tool distributors and suppliers who sponsor our forum by advertising with us are allowed the privilege of offering special deals and links to highlighted products.
- Tool distributors and suppliers who DO NOT sponsor the forum aren't permitted to offer any of the above.
- Threads will be closed and dead links to ebay and other marketplace sites may be removed after 3 months or so.
If you happen to think this is unfair, you would be absolutely spot on. Giving preference to the companies who took the effort to sponsor us and finance the running costs of the website is our way of showing them some appreciation.
Other things you should consider.
- Do not mass private message members with offers. Spam security precautions are in place and will log everything you send.
- Sellers may be asked for a contact number or business address and we expect them to give it. In private is OK so our members have peace of mind they wont be scammed or robbed.
- Buyers may require evidence of authenticity so they know they're buying a genuine article. Sellers should not be offended if they ask.
- Anyone caught selling stolen tools will be banned and reported to the police.
- Be safe. Buyers should use common sense and trust their instincts. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
If you don't agree, please don't post an ad.
If you proceed then don't follow the rules, you may be banned.
Tools will be easier to sell if you have *For Sale* in the title tag. Please try and make your listing as descriptive as possible.
Simples?
Your messages are really important to us
...but not important enough to employ a sufficient number of support staff to answer them.
