Automatic and hand tools, sanders, stilts etc. What's hot and what's not.

Lafarge GTEC Trade Joint Cement
Has anyone used this, whats it like, and does it sand easily?

Not my cup of tea. Easy to sand, cheap and doesn't blend in as nicely as BG.

Only tried it the once but I thought the stuff was OK. Lightweight and it sanded easily.

Had it supplied a couple of years ago on a large nursing home complex,
got used to it after a while, Best thing about it was the EMPTY buckets
Still got about 50Milk No Sugar.

I like it a dont spend too much time mixing it, a fast mixer will get it quite fluffy

Thanks for the replies guys, as I'd never used it before I was a bit apprehensive.
It's in powder form not ready mix though.

Been using the ready mix during the week and had to put a 220 grade paper on the sander as it was tearing the compound to pieces. Definitely more like a USG blue top than a BG type harder compound. Shame about the £18.50 a tub price tag.
