Using Jointex filler, mumble, cough, years ago.

Redland Pure Velvet was the first stuff I used. Never used jointex.

i used to use tons of the stuff when i lived london,back in the old days and you knocked it up with a stick or bike cog welded to a bar,no idea what happend to jointex in the end.

forgot to add,you knew when you had sanded back to jointex,co's your eyes stung like you'd been pepper sprayed!

Tony you were lucky, it was my introduction to taping, I had to do some snagging, and top internals for a machine taper, (dabbed walls, but concrete ceilings,which were just painted)
I was given 5 minutes training and left to it. this stuff set like concrete, and I had to finish with this stuff, no joint cement. sand it, yeah right, thats probably why I didn't take up taping back then

Once about 15 years ago and I remember the bloodshot eyes it gave us from sanding a ceiling.
Did this gear have lime in it?Your messages are really important to us

was that the stuff that was suppose to be a filler and finish and was in plastic bags or am I thinking too far back

sorry just read previous post saying about plastic bags horrible stuff anyway. Anybody else remember the red filler went off so quick made everybody fast tapers
