Northstar Extendable Handle
Alright guys
I've got a Northstar extendable handle and it has slackened off a fair bit and is not holding well when the end lever is pressed, probably 4-5 year old now. I have sprayed with wd40 but didn't help it.
Does anyone know how to tighten it or do I need a replacement part.
Cheers

we fix loads of these theay seem to be a bit of a problem, you will need to drill the rivet out on the handle to get it apart, then you will need to main rod through the centre - they wear on the connector and stop the handle gripping like it should, got a few of the rods coming in to stock next week sometime as we have a couple pf the handles in the repair shop - give me a shout if toy need a hand with diy fix, WD wo't make a difference as its a worn part rather than clogged handle etc.
cheers

First pour some 3 in 1 oil into the handle from the bottom and leave upside down over night. There is a small nut at the bottom of the handle, tighten. I 've been doing this for years now. But it is sure to snap at some point, but it does tighten it up for the time being.

Thanks guys, got it tightened on one of handles as I have a spare, so that will keep me going for now but the other one isn't working after tightening and oiling up, so will get that sorted soon.
