    Lightbulb cleaning up boxes !!

how do you guys clean up your boxes & pump , i give mine a quick clean and put in a dustbin of water till next time, as cleaning out proper takes to long & just clean proper every few weeks & oil.
some jointers i know just wrap them in bin liners untill next time so no cleaning up !!
    any other ideas ???

I have a hose attachment I made up, cost about 20, and I can clean my boxes, Cinta pump and Apla-tech Canon in a matter of minutes. I generally clean my kit out completely if I'm not going to use it for a few days. Once cleaned off, I spray with silicon lube.

Strip and clean my pump and boxes every Sunday then sray them with a silicone based lube. Through the week they are kept in a pail of clean water.

Get yourself a length of hose and all possbile fixings to connect to any tap. Then send to the lad to wash them.
Find a pallet(there's always one a round) wash them on at.
When my pump has been cleaned it's a nightmare to get going so I leave it in a bucket for duration of the job.

I'm sure it's fine. I only use silicone spray as I thought WD might eat away at the rubber seal with it being oil based.

I use wd40, used to use silicone because of the rubber being eaten away but how long would it really take the rubber to perish?

I keep my boxes in airtight cartons with lids (the Scottish Power guys use them on site for mixing 2 pack stuff). If I aint got time to wash them properly, I just put an inch or 2 clean water in the carton and the boxes will keep till next time. I am guilty however of neglecting the loading pump, only washing the outside of it and keeping the inside full of mud. Ok if I'm using it again next day but if its hot then the mud dries out and in the winter it freezes- nightmare! Need to get my act together on that one !

Pressure washer 30 from trago run it off my Geny and a bucket of water. Fitted it with a yellow 110v lead and cut the lance down to a pistol length. It runs fine on 110v.
