    Talking Helloooo

    Hi Everyone,

I'm not in the trade per se,worked managed a Crown Dec Centre for years, am now running the first of a new national dec centre for the old MD of Dulux & Crown, think I'll be flying solo until December, but its all good fun and very exciting, hopefully we'll have 50 stores within the next 3 years.

Main reason I joined was because my British Gypsom sales rep said what a cracking job Belmore were doing online, Buck & Hickman is our parent company and I'm trying to show them what can be achieved....took me 2 months to fight for access to Twitter & FB but I'm educating them slowly, very slowly. He my rep was right, Belmores interaction is fabulous.

I used to be more about selling luxurious fabric and hand printed papers, now because I can sell the odd power tool etc I find myself becoming obsessed with them..mirka dust free sanding I should coco!!!!! who'd of thought, me liking a sander, and even going as far to "borrow" the demo model to complete some small projects at home, still partial to bit of fabric though...cut with Olfa blades of course (lol)

Anywhoo I digress, I'm not here to promote our company, to try and get sales or indeed poach any ideas or customers, I sell the odd bag of easyfil and a bit of coving in take it or leave it quantities and wouldnt even bother trying to compete, I'm here because I like to remain informed, I do like very much to help out with painting problems, and really just generally like talking about decorating...yes I know I need a life.

I look forward to talking with you

Hello there and thanks for the background intro... I got everything but your name lol? I think you'll get along alright here so welcome to our site, hopefully you will find it useful.

You're right about Marcus's online networking capabilities, I've learned a few tips from him.

Arrogance... perhaps? Or maybe they have enough on their plate with corner tape and ProMix issues? Nice to meet you Sarah. We don't get very many ladies joining in so welcome aboard.

    ha ha haaa funny gucker.
I know my painting, wallpaper & fabric. It would seem we're heading the same way as the french and instead of having specific tradesmen, we're gearing more towards do it all tradesmen. I'm sure the likes Belmore are asked more frequently for decorating equipment, and the likes of moi are asked more frequently for the tools. I do like to be informed and I'm a terrible bore when it comes to decorating, you'll probably be sick of my input in a few weeks
Anyhoo feeling a tad w%&($d after a cheeky bottle of red, so I shall bid you a good night Crack Filler and weave my way upstairs

    ciao ciao
