Whats your way of doing it
just interested on what we all use when jointing as im sure we all do it a little different
mine is this
big jumbo walls or exterior walls in shops that will have fixtures in front = scrim plus easy fill ,via ten inch first coat and 12 inch second coat, skim beads on externals, power sand, but you need to get a wiggle on to keep the easy fill going through the pump
new build houses and flats, scrim plus i coat filler by hand and two cement one 10 0ne 12 inch, and skim beads on externals,
cement of choice is wondertex, knocks up great and sands well
if i was jointing 100% of the time i would do things a little different as i would invest in a bazooka, and some corner tools
must admit when im two coating with easi fill it seems im cheating a bit, when you machine guys are running around putting three coats on
whats your way?

Normal house. Scrim and Easifill or Joint filler to butt joints on ceilings and wall joints. Drop back and coat up ceiling tapered joints when butts are dry to eliminate having to blend in. All by hand. 2nd & 3rd coats by 10" & 12" box with cement. Butt joints get double width on 10" box for 2nd coat and 3rd coat is 12" box over crown of joint only. Internals 2 coats cement, 1 to put tape in and use rol-plow to flush and 1 to finish with 2 1/2" Northstar head. USG tape on beads covered with one coat filler or Easifill and one coat cement. Only use British Gypsum products.
Small jobs of a couple of rooms will get either 2 coats Easifill, or if boarding nothing special, 2 Easifill and a cement to finish.
Commercial jobs, 3 coats again.

Same as Tony. But don't do butts the same as Tony, treat them the same as tapered joints.

Does anyone use the Knauf plastic external tape rather than the paper/metal stuff? How about scrim versus paper tapes for interals?
I much prefer the Knauf external stuff, it's just bloody expensive compared to the metal edge stuff. If I've got a job with a bit of room in the price I use the Knauf stuff. I also think scrim provides better long term results for internals. No chance of fluffing, bubbling or lifting. I do them by hand though, so it's not really going to compete with machining them for speed.

Got to be paper for internals, fibre for flats !
Radio 2 on early, followed by absolute radio.
I'm with E.K, clean boxers every day
Same trousers or shorts all week( got to keep them clean.)
An old man once told me "clean jointers are good jointers."

Started using it last week as Persimmon Scotland now instruct us to use it. It leaves a good finish and seems to get away with using 1 fast set and 1 velvet but it burns the bloody skin off your fingers when pressing it on! Need to invest in a corner roller for it. Always paper tape for internals though

I wouldn't say it was shit. It's a better finish in my opinion, and you can get over shit boarding a bit better than you can with the paper/metal edge stuff.
