Purely a woman thing. No man has ever had to have a clutch replaced. Amazing but true.

not true at all. I had a clutch replaced in a 1975 honda Civic back in 1983, my Dad had given it to me and i had learned to drive standard transmission with it. apparently just because it WILL start off in 3rd gear doesn't mean is should. Have never replaced one since, but half my vehicles have been Automatics because a) you can get cruise control on them and Canada is a big place... and b) its harder to drink coffee on the way to work if you are shifting with the cup in your hand. c) my wife likes Automatics. :/

I am not perfectly sure what you mean by riding the clutch, is that feathering it out longer than you need to on a start or habitually resting your foot on the pedal?

I think its a number of reasons, women are'nt good at sports so no real foot control, driving in high heels and using the clutch to hoist themselves up a bit so they can put their lippy on in the mirror cause lets be honest what else is it there for, all scientific facts.

A lot of standard transmission cars come with cruise control!

Riding the clutch simply means when they are cruising along they rest their left foot on the clutch pedal causing pressure, this in turn leads to the thrust bearing wearing out and becoming female! (constantly whines after a while)
